Know how to apply for Pre-matriculation scholarship for SC students

Do you belong to the SC (Scheduled Caste)? Do you have any children reading from Class I-VIII? If so, you can apply for their pre-matric scholarship provided your annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs 1 lakh.

The respective educational institutes can get the application forms from the sub-divisional welfare offices of SC free of cost.

The students shall submit their applications forms, along with self-addressed photocopies on the front page of their bank passbooks, caste certificates and annual income certificates of their parents, to the heads of their respective institutions. The head of the institution must prepare a detailed list of the students in a prescribed format and send it to the sub-divisional welfare officer concerned, along with the application forms with relevant documents. After scrutinizing all the details, the sub-divisional welfare officer will prepare a list of students, including their bank details and send it along with statements (hard and soft copies in words) of the institutions to the Director, Welfare of SC, Assam, Guwahati 06 by 30th November 2021.
