Lecture on Lachit Barphukan held at National Defence Academy

GUWAHATI: The first annual lecture instituted by the government of Assam at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in the memory of Lachit Barphukan was held on Saturday. Announcing this, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "This initiate will inspire young Army personnel on lines of ideals of Lachit Barphukan and motivate them to serve the nation with utmost dedication, honesty and sincerity. A move to take the legacy of the legend to the masses". Next year onwards, the lecture will be conducted on November 24, the birth anniversary of the great General.
