Money Seized By A Static Surveillance Team (SST) In Sonitpur District

TEZPUR: An amount of Rs. 7,80,000 was seized by a Static Surveillance Team (SST) led by Mukut Baruah and Sub Inspector Sarat Chandra Das of Bebejia Outpost during checking of vehicles on National Highway-15 at Balipukhuri Tiniali under Tezpur Police station in Sonitpur district on Wednesday. Since the person carrying the money could not produce valid supporting documents, the money was sent to the treasury office, Tezpur after it was counted in the presence of Circle Officer Akashdeep Kakoty, Treasury Officer Tarun Saikia and members of the SST. Inquiries are underway.
