'No COVID death case on November 4' tweets Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: After long 115 days there was no Corona death in the State on Wednesday. Tweeting on this development, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "For about 115 days in a row, we had to endure painful incidents of death of COVID-19 patients in Assam. I'm pleased to share that today on November 4 there's no death case. We've to keep our vigil on and follow all precautions to contain the pandemic."

The first COVID-19 death was reported in the State on April 10, 2020 in the form of a 65-year-old Markaz returnee in Hailanadi district. So far as many as 934 persons died of COVID-19 in the State.
