GUWAHATI: The Justice Biplab Kumar Sharma Commission today served notice to another 11 dismissed officers of the Assam Civil Service (ACS) and other allied services to appear before the Commission and record their statements.

Sources said that the notices which were served to the 11 candidates mentioned what anomalies were found in their answer sheets. Earlier in July, the Commission had served notices to 11 dismissed officers of the ACS and other allied services. According to sources, some of these officers have submitted their written statements to the Commission. The Commission is 'critically examining' these written statements.

After a case was registered in the Dibrugarh police station in the APSC cash-for-job scam, 22 candidates selected in the CCE 2014 were arrested and later dismissed from service.

The Assam Government had formed a one-man judicial inquiry commission headed by Justice Biplab Kumar Sharma, retired Judge of Gauhati High Court, to inquire into the allegations of anomalies and malpractices in the conduct of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), 2014 examination of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC).
