Over 1 lakh people to receive COVID-19 vaccine today

GUWAHATI: Keeping in mind the COVID surge in different parts of the country and the increase in fresh COVID-19 positive cases in the State, the Health department decided to intensify its ongoing vaccination drive.

The National Health Mission (NHM), Assam will organize a mega COVID -vaccination programme on Tuesday across the State where more than one lakh individuals will be vaccinated.

On March 21, 2021 the State had recorded 25 fresh COVID-19 positive cases. The State has now 316 active cases. From March 31, 2020 to March 21, 2021 altogether 2, 17,976 have been tested COVID-19 positive. So far, the total COVID casualty is 1,100. Altogether 1,347 COVID-positive patients have so far died due to other reasons in the State.
