GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will land at Dimapur Airport around 10.30 am tomorrow (April 28) and leave for Loringthepi in Karbi Anglong to address a rally near Diphu for peace, progress and integrity. He will lay the foundation stones of an agriculture college, a veterinary college and a degree college in Karbi Anglong, besides launching the 'Amrit Sarovar' scheme under the MGNREGA.
From Karbi Anglong, he will fly to Dibrugarh to inaugurate seven cancer care hospitals of the Assam Cancer Care Foundation and lay the foundation stones for seven other cancer care hospitals.
Tata Trust Chairman Ratan Tata will attend the programme in Dibrugarh.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Dibrugarh Cancer Care Hospital physically at Dibrugarh.
Since the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of cancer care hospitals virtually from Dibrugarh (barring the one in Dibrugarh), Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has deputed his Cabinet colleagues, MLAs and MPs to lead the programmes at other places.
While Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass will lead the programme in Barpeta, MLA Manab Deka in Lakhimpur, BTC CEM Promod Boro at Kokrajhar, MLA Hitendra Nath Goswami in Jorhat, Minister Ashok Singhal and MP Pallab Lochan Das in Tezpur and Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary and MP Dilip Saikia in Darrang.
On the foundation-laying ceremony, Minister Parimal Suklabaidya will lead the programme in Goalpara, MP Queen Oja and MLA Jayanta Malla Baruah in Nalbari, MP Pabitra Margherita in Tinsukia, Minister Ranoj Pegu in Sivasagar, MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa in Golaghat, Minister UG Brahma and MP Bhubaneswar Kalita in Dhubri, MP Birendra Prasad Baishya and MLA Rupak Sarmah in Nagaon.
The Prime Minister will wind up his tour in the afternoon.
The Chief Minister monitored the final arrangements of the Prime Minister's programme schedule.
