NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress won four seats each in Karnataka and Rajasthan as voting was held for 16 Rajya Sabha seats in four states on Friday. However, counting of votes has been delayed in Maharashtra and Haryana over reported violation of rules. Congress candidates Randeep Singh Surjewala, Mukul Wasnik and Pramod Tiwari emerged victorious in Rajasthan. In Karnataka, BJP candidates Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, film actor-turned-politician Jaggesh and former MLC Leher Singh were elected, while the Congress' Jairam Ramesh won the remaining seat.
