GUWAHATI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) declared the results of the State Government's Grade –III examinations today. Significantly, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that his government would announce the filling up of 10,000 more posts by the end of December.
The SEBA conducted the examinations on behalf of the State Level Recruitment Commission for 13,300 vacant Grade – III posts on August 28, 2022. Around 6.71 lakh candidates took the examination. Candidates numbering around twice the total vacant posts have qualified for the written test. They will have to face the skill test.
The SEBA declared the results of the fourth-grade examinations a few days ago.
Talking to the media, the Chief Minister said that the results of grade-III posts came out today. "The government will hold the oral test for Grade – IV posts and the next level of interview (skill test) for the Grade – III candidates by the end of December or January 2023. The appointment of both categories of posts will be within this financial year," he said.
The Chief Minister said, "We have planned to advertise for 10,000 more posts by the end of December."
Never before did the State government conduct such a big recruitment drive for Grades III and IV.
Earlier, the Chief Minister announced that the unsuccessful candidates would get their fees refunded.
