Even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic Sakhi 181, a women helpline is at your service round the clock for the safety of women and children in the State on all fronts – medical assistance, police assistance, legal assistance, temporary shelter and psycho-social counseling.

Sakhi 181 is under the Social Welfare Department, Assam. If any child loses its parents due to the COVID-19, one can call this helpline number for help. This helpline is ready to extend services to women and children affected by violence. Here are the service outlines...

(i.) It facilitates crisis and non-crisis intervention with the help of police/hospital/ambulance/protection officer, and

(ii.) Sakhi one-stop centres are established district-wise for women and children affected by domestic violence, dowry or any other mental/emotional issues.
