Seized narcotics to be burned publicly: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed the State Assembly that the government would burn the drugs seized in the past two months on July 17 and 18, publicly. "Through this programme, we want to get our message across to the drug dealers that their design is not going to work in Assam any longer." The police will burn the seized drugs on July 17 at Diphu and Golaghat and on July 18 at Nagaon and Hojai.
