Special Investigation Team collects handwriting samples of 2 arrested ASPs

GUWAHATI: The SIT (Special Investigation Team) has collected the handwriting samples of the two arrested ASPs – Aishwarya Jibon Baruah and Shahjahan Sarkar –, video-graphed the collected handwriting samples and sent them to the Forensic Science Laboratory for tests today.

According to police sources, the SIT has summoned four more officers to appear before it on November 28, 2023 in connection with the cash-for-job scam in the APSC (Assam Public Service Commission).

The report of the Forensic Science Laboratory submitted in 2017 in the cash-for-job-scam clearly revealed that the two arrested ASPs had inserted duplicate sheets in their answer-scripts of the CCE-2013.
