State Government Orders Probe In Doctor’s Murder, Decides To Set Up Fast Track Court

GUWAHATI: The State Government has decided for fast track court to try the cases involving the killing of Dr Deven Dutta at Teok Tea Garden in Upper Assam. Moreover, the government has asked the Commissioner and Secretary (Finance) Shyam Jagannathan to inquire into the incident.

The Chief Minister on Wednesday also had a telephonic conversation with the widow of slain doctor. Besides, expressing his empathy with the bereaved family members, Sonowal condemned the killing and said that law will take its own course as strict action will be initiated against those who took law in their hands, stated a release.
