STAFF REPORTER
GUWAHATI: The State Government has asked all IAS, ACS, and ALRS (Assam Land Revenue Service) officers to submit details of their property for the year 2023 on or before January 31, 2024.
The state Department of Personnel has issued letters to all the officers. The letter mentioned that the government observed that some ACS and ALRS officers have not submitted their property details from earlier periods, which may lead to action under the Assam Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965. They need to submit all their property returns.
According to the letter from the Personnel Department, ACS and ALRS officers will have to submit their annual property return statements in two formats: movable property returns (MPR) and immovable property returns (IPR).
The letter further said any failure to meet the deadline will invite disciplinary action against the officer or officers concerned.
In the case of IAS officers, the letter said that they will submit annual property returns through an online module available on the SPARROW platform that will be closed automatically after January 31, 2024. The DoPT (Department of Personnel Training) of the Central Government introduced the SPARROW platform.
