Thai envoy in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: Ambassador of Thailand to India Pattarat Hontong met Industry Minister Bimal Borah today at Janata Bhawan. The Ambassador was accompanied by Chayanin Sriviseth First Secretary (Economics), Thanchanok Uthaiwan Second Secretary (Political), Vipavee Rangsimaporn and other dignitaries of the business community of Thailand. The Ambassador and other dignitaries discussed various issues relating to potential sectors of trade and business. In the meeting with the Thai envoy Secretary Industries Dr Lakshmanan S Commissioner Oinam Saran Kr Sing, Entrepreneur Abhijit Baruah and other government officials are present. The Secretary of Industries Lakshmanan gave a summary to the foreign delegation regarding the trade and business potential in Assam. He also stated about the nearly completed Jogighopa Logistics park and Act East Policy. He emphasized the boarder trade between the neighbouring countries of South East Asia, a press release said.
