* Rivers flowing above danger level
* 24,19,185 persons in 2,323 villages affected

GUWAHATI: The toll in floods across Assam rose to 87 with the death of two persons during the last 24 hours. On the other hand, the main rivers and their tributaries were flowing over the danger level inundating several places.
According to the ASDMA's daily flood bulletin, one each died at Raha in Nagaon district and in Morigaon.
The Brahmaputra is flowing above the danger level at Dibrugarh, Neamatighat in Jorhat, Tezpur in Sonitpur, Goalpara and Dhubri; Siang at Pasighat; Dhansiri at Numaligarh in Golaghat district; Jia Bharali at NT Road Crossing in Sonitpur district; Kopili at Dharamtul in Nagaon district; Beki at Road Bridge in Barpeta district; Gaurang at Kopkrajhar; Kushiyara in Karimganj district; and the Sankosh at Golokganj in Dhubri district.
Altogether 24 out of the 33 districts of the State have been affected. The flood-affected districts are Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Biswanath, Darrang, Baksa, Nalbari, Barpeta, Chirang, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, Dhubri, South Salmara, Goalpara, Kamrup, Kamrup (Metro), Morigaon, Nagaon, Golaghat, Jorhat, Majuli, Sivasagar, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, and Cachar.
As many as 24,19,185 persons in 2,323 villages/ localities across 69 Revenue Circles have been affected. Altogether 44,498 persons have taken shelter in 276 relief camps. Altogether 121 relief distribution centres have been set up.
The total crop area affected till date is 1,10,323.54 hectares.
Altogether 9,30,218 big animals have been affected besides 4,65,799 small animals and 8,14,251 poultry have been affected till Tuesday evening.
Embankments, roads and bridges/culverts have been breached at many places. Erosion has been reported from various places in Biswanath, Majuli, Baksa, Sonitpur, Udalguri, Chirang and Kokrajhar districts.
While 73 camps have been affected in Kaziranga National Park, six others have been vacated across the Park. On the other hand, while 116 Park animals have died, 143 others have been rescued till date.
