Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal quits as MLA

GUWAHATI: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal tendered his resignation as an MLA today after his election to the Rajya Sabha unopposed on Monday. He made it to the State Assembly from Majuli. He sent his resignation letter to Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary.
