Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to arrive today in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar is arriving in Guwahati today on a one-day visit packed with programmes.

According to schedule, the Vice President will go directly to Cotton University from the Lokappriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport after his welcome by the State Government. He will interact with the students and faculty members of the university after visiting it. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu would remain present at the interaction.

In the afternoon, he will go to Assam Royal Global University to grace its third convocation as the chief guest. Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, the Chief Minister, and the Education Minister will also be at the programme.

After that, the Vice President will interact with the Rajasthani community at a city hotel before winding up his visit to the state in the evening.

Meanwhile, the State Government has detailed 16 ACS officers in the Kamrup (M) district, apart from the existing ones, for the smooth management of programmes in different venues.
