AGARTALA: A team of the National Centre for Disease Control will visit Tripura shortly to investigate the reasons for the large scale coronavirus infection among jawans of the Border Security Force and their family members which has reached to 115 now. The Tripura government has requested the NCDC to visit the State as it is totally clueless about the reason for the spread of the virus among the jawans.

SK Rakesh, Additional Chief Secretary told reporters that the doctors could detect the source of infection in case of the two civilians found to be coronavirus-infected and they also got cured following treatment. The BSF jawans who were taken to the Corona Care Centers are responding to the treatment confusion prevails about the source of the infection.

He said a high-level meeting presided over by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb reviewed the situation where the Inspector General of BSF, Tripura Frontier also was present.
