Assam Election Result, 2021: Margherita Congress candidate Manoranjan Borgohain confident of winning

Margherita Assembly constituency Congress candidate Manoranjan Borgohain Phukan appeared confident of winning with a majority.

Speaking to the media, Margherita Congress candidate Manoranjan Borgoghain Phukan said, "I am confident that I will win in Margherita constituency with a majority. I would like to thank the voters. I will be always grateful. This time Margherita people have supported the Congress."

Total six (6) candidates have contested for 124 no Margherita Assembly constituency, Bhaskar Sharma (BJP), Manoranjan Borgohain (Congress), Sanjay Kumar Dev (AJP), Rontu Sonowal (Independent candidate), Ignitus Ekka (Independent candidate) and Bhugeswar Shyam (Independent candidate).

In the last assembly election, Bhaskar Sharma, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate won the election with 76,365 votes. Pradyut Bordoloi of the Indian National Congress lost the election with 53,621 votes.

There are 1,36,738 voters in Margherita Constituency, of which 70,256 are male, and 66,482 are female.
