Assam Gets Ready to Celebrate Magh Bihu

Bodos, Assamese, Biharis, Adivasis and people from other tribes and communities are all working together and getting ready to celebrate Magh Bihu. Villagers of Haidabari of Biswanath Chairali have begun preparations from a month ago to celebrate the harvest festival of Assam. People were seen building bhela gars and mejis. Children and ladies were dancing bihu and Bodo dance Bagarumba wearing their traditional attire. Preparations are in full swing to celebrate Magh bihu that begins from January 13 and is usually celebrated for a week. Community feasts is the most common thing during Magh Bihu. Villages gather together to eat together and celebrate.
