High Court Rejects BPF Plea Against Governor's Ruled In BTAD

Gauhati High Court has dismissed the Bodoland Peoples' Front's (BPF) plea against the Governor's rule in the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD). The Court said that the rule will continue for an additional 6 months. Jagadish Sarkar, executive member of BPF had filed the plea against the Governor's rule in the area. BTAD area came under Governor's rule as elections could not be held on time due to COVID outbreak.
